An abundance has been reported in the press not long ago concerning the bingo industry struggling as a consequence of the cigarette ban in Britain. Things have become so bad that in Scotland the Bingo industry has asked for big tax cuts to help keep the industry from going bankrupt. Bingo is an ancient game normally enjoyed by the "blue haired" generation. Players will no longer be able to puff on cigarettes at the same time marking numbers. The effects of the anti smoking law can already be seen in Scotland where smoking is already not allowed in the bingo parlours. Players have plunged and the business is literally struggling for its life. But where have all the players gone? Certainly they have not given up on this established game?
